I can’t say enough about these guys. They were awesome to work with and my counter and backsplash look amazing. John, the owner, arrived the day after my initial phone call to give me an estimate. He verbally told me the cost, but then sent me a written estimate via email that night. I’ve found this is rare among the construction industry. Usually, they’ll take forever getting you an estimate, then it’ll only be given verbally. I originally choose a slab of marble at Medimer and John scheduled to pick it up before my job. When he arrived at my house to make the counter template, we got to talking and I decided I wanted a thicker slab. John told me that was no problem, gave me his revised quote and made some phone calls to find one. He then told me that he’d return the slab from Medimer and I could go choose a thicker one. I had NO idea he had already picked up the other slab! He didn’t even make a fuss about going to the trouble to return it and pick up the new one. VERY professional and kind, in my opinion. The crew arrived on time and were really nice and professional. I originally hired them to install my counter only, but I ended up hiring them to add the tile backsplash as well, and they got it done the day after the counter installation. I’ve already scheduled them to install my tile floors and they’ll start next week. I can’t recommend Genoa enough.
I was looking to sell my house and figured upgrading the kitchen should give me a good return on the investment. I called Genoa Soapstone based on a recommendation of a friend and couldn’t have been happier. Not having any expertise in design, I had them pick out the best granite color/pattern for the interior of the house and was more than impressed with the look, and the finish. And my house sold in less than a week. We’ve just moved into our new home “up the hill” and I’ll be calling them to upgrade our current kitchen.
John Lita, owner of Genoa was very quick to return my call initially, as well as any e-mails or texts. He continued to display this type of behavior through out the length of the job, which was not very long. John has a lot of persona, very easy to talk to and delivers exactly what you want very efficiently.
John’s fabrication and installation of our Hall and Master bath granite counter tops turned out beautiful. The upgraded edging was worth every penny. His plumber, Eric installed our sinks and faucets, also gave his recommendation and fixed an intermittent leaking problem we have had in both bathrooms. We felt he was very honest and trustworthy. The final touches, like chalking were done by Stan. I spoke with him about doing some matching granite or tile work around the hall bath. He showed me some pictures for ideas as well as some recommendations for the hall bath. John called the next morning with a follow up call about the job and our satisfaction. Their work turned out very professional looking and impeccable. We could tell all three of them love their work and have excellent customer service.
